Last updated: 9 October 2026
This policy explains what happens when a lesson booked through Drivora is cancelled or moved. It forms part of our Terms for Learners and Parents and our Instructor and School Terms. Your instructor may offer more generous terms, never less generous ones. Nothing here affects your statutory rights.

2. Your legal 14-day right to cancel
When you book a lesson online or in the app, you're making a "distance contract" under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
- You can cancel within 14 days of booking without giving a reason.
- If the lesson hasn't happened yet, you get a full refund, including the booking fee.
- If you ask for a lesson to take place within the 14 days, which you do by ticking the box when you book, and it has already been given, you pay for the lesson you had. Once a single lesson has been fully given, you can no longer cancel it.
- Bundles: if you cancel a bundle within 14 days of buying it, you get back the price of the lessons you haven't had. The lessons you have had are charged at the bundle rate.
- How to cancel: press Cancel on the lesson in the app or website, email the instructor, or email us at the contact address published on this page before launch. You can use this model form, but you don't have to:
To [instructor name and address] / Drivora, , the contact address published on this page before launch:
I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the following service: [lesson date/time or bundle]. Booked on: [date]. Name: [your name]. Address: [your address]. Date: [date].
3. The instructor's notice period
Each instructor sets a notice period for cancelling or moving lessons. It is shown before you book and in your confirmation email. If no period is set, it is 48 hours. The notice period applies once the 14-day period has passed.
4. Card refunds
- Refunds go back to the card you paid with. We issue them within 14 days, and usually straight away. Your bank may take 5 to 10 working days to show the money.
- Refunds of the lesson price come from the instructor's share. Refunds of the booking fee come from Drivora.
5. Cash lessons
Cash refunds and replacement lessons are arranged directly with your instructor. If you can't agree, see section 7.
6. When the instructor cancels or can't give the lesson
Your card payment, including the booking fee, is refunded in full automatically. If you paid cash in advance, the instructor must offer a replacement lesson or a refund.
7. Problems and complaints
Contact the instructor first. If that doesn't work, email the contact address published on this page before launch and we'll help. You can also contact Citizens Advice (0808 223 1133) or the DVSA's ADI Registrar about instructor conduct.
